We are pleased to announce that President Masaji Yamazaki has been awarded the Medal with Yellow Ribbon, the Medal of Honor for Autumn 2020.

I am delighted to have been awarded the Medal with Yellow Ribbon following the "Contemporary Master Craftsman" award last year.

I have been working as a weaver since I was 15 years old, and at the age of 26, I launched Yamazaki Velvet and have devoted myself to this path. Mr. Masaji Yamazaki, the chairman of the company, has mastered the technique of weaving velvet, and the velvet that he developed, which is made by attaching Japanese paper and processed to be extremely thin, is permanently preserved in the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

We will continue to inherit the skills of Chairman Masaji Yamazaki and strive to develop new velvet. Thank you for your continued support of Yamazaki Velvet.
